Almost 5000 years old the Lyre of Ur commonly known as the Harp of Ur is truly the oldest wonder of the world of music.
 
Gold sheathing by Mr Peter Pfötscher.

Mr Peter Pfötscher is an expert in his field from Austria. He carefuly prepared an appraisal and a study for the gold sheathing work. In addition Mr Peter Pfötscher prepared samples of the gold work especially for the Golden Lyre before starting the work. Gold plates made of 0.15 mm pure gold plates covers the entire bull's head and both arms of the Golden Lyre are also covered with total of 12 bands of gold sheathing of the same thickness.

We are one step closer to finshing the Golden Lyre of Ur.
Mr Norbert Maier has completed the wooden structure of the Lyre. His attention to detail and devotion to this project is nothing short of miraculous. The Lyre was constructed from cedar wood from north of Iraq.

Drawings and 3d virtual model.
The drawing process of the Lyre reveiled many secrets which was never been noticed before. The shape and dimention falls in to a strict geometric pattern. Every angle and dimention fallowes this pattern, even the details of the decoration is governed by it.
